Description
1972 Marshall Super Lead 100. In having maintenance done last summer, my amp tech and I decided to restore some non-original mods that were done before I acquired it. We looked at schematics from '68-'73, and generally agreed on our favorite design features from various "plexi" years. This has original transformers, etc. from '72, but the circuit is a blend of the various changes that occurred throughout the era. Being from '72, this is technically NOT a plexi (has a metal face) but the circuit is as close as we could get to a faithful restoration. There are some low output cleans, mid-OD breakup, crunchy hi-gain, and a few jumped channel captures get wooly. Nomenclature of my captures always follows knob order so I can easily re-dial in a tone if I need to, so in this case it's: Input: (2L = Channel 2 Low; 1HJ = Chanel 1 High and jumpered, etc.) Settings are 5 digits for non-jumped captures: Presence, Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume (of channel in use) Settings are 6 digits for jumped: Presence, Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume 1, Volume II dBu: -12.1 Chain: Walrus Canvas, UA Apollo, UA OX I didn't add any IR files to this, but find yourself some Xxxxxbacks or one that says "Marshall 4x12" and you're probably pretty true to intent.
