Description

The Aion FX Procyon is a DIY Kit based on the BJFe Honey Bee pedal. The Honey Bee is an overdrive pedal that supposed to sound like an overdriven Supro amp. I remember reading about how well this pedal supposedly stacked after other overdrive pedals (Timmy, OCD, etc.) in the late 2000s/early 2010s. I captured the pedal at 11.5dBu, to play nicely with the NAM captures of my amps and Line 6 Helix models. These are Standard models, trained at 1000 Epochs. The signal chain was my DIYRE L2A reamp box, into the pedal, back into my Steinberg UR824 audio interface. It has 3 knobs: Volume, Nature, and Drive. I kept the Volume at 12:00. I varied the Nature and Drive knobs. Nature around 12:00 is meant to be the most neutral setting. Drive at 9:00 can lead you some light breakup on a clean amp.
