Description

This amazing amp doesn't get enough love, maybe this can help raise awareness! Bogner Goldfinger Superlead into a St Rock React IR II in reactive mode with primary impedance curve selected. Into MOTU MII and reamped through a Radial DI box. This amp is a swiss army knife, so I didn't capture everything. I did both channels with all 3 modes on channel 2 (68, 77, 81). Each mode has normal, boosted, and a bright tone where the gain EQ knob is rolled away from the fat setting back to the bright setting (from about 7 back to 3). This shifts the midrange of the amp and makes it a lot more like a vintage marshall on bright than the normal bogner low mid sound. I did the clean channel normal, with the boost engaged, and also with a compressor in front of the boosted amp on 10 for maximum squish. Finally, I ran a klon relatively clean into a Keeley MKII into the clean channel to give a mayer type sound. The GF can do the two rock mid heavy compressed clean thing in spades. I may play around with that some more later and post. Recommend you plug your strat in, position 4, and roll the volume back to about 8.
