Description
IRs made from the cabinet and speaker of my 2015 Fender Hot Rod loaded with a Celestion G12P-80 8ohm speaker. Three different close mics were used to capture the speaker; R121, SM57, and C414, mic'd in the following positions: -Cap=center of the cap -Cap Edge=edge of the cap where it meets the cone -Cone=midpoint of the cone halfway between cap and cone edge -Cone Edge=edge of the cone right next to the baffle Onee distant mic was also used; a C414, mic'd at the center of the cabinet at distances of 12" and 24". Mics were powered by Universal Audio 2-610 mic pres, passed through HCL Varis Tube Vari-Mu compressor for color, and into RME Fireface converters.
