Description
This Jackson rack preamp from the early 90s seems to be kind of rare, documentation on this model is sparse. Sadly mine is currently half broken, the clean channel works just fine but the lead channel does not. So I took my tube screamer clone, cranked every knob to max and blasted the clean channel input - to my surprise that resulted in a somewhat unique tone with enough distortion for rock and even metal (imho). I hesitated uploading this model because I wanted to capture a whole pack with the lead channel included, but since I don't know when I'll get around to repairing this gem and I liked the sound I just had to share it with you guys :) Preamp only, so add poweramp simulation to taste (not strictly needed tho). Signal Chain: Audient iD24 -> Palmer DACCAPO -> Fame Tube Screamer -> Jackson JX-3 -> Audient iD24
