Description

Arlington Audio - Neural Amp Modeler pack ------------------------------------------ Peavey 5150 II Released in 1999, the 5150II followed up the original design released 7 years earlier. Many of the changes were incremental but it's hard to improve on such an iconic and well received amp. Not impossible though. There were some quality of life features added such as an extra preamp tube, the removal of the high gain input and separate EQ sections for the channels. These changes didn't make many fundamental changes to the amp but it certainly became more useful. I'd describe the sonic difference as "more of the good stuff". While it mostly feels the same as the original to dial in, it seems to be more lively and less shrill. Somehow, the presence controls seemed to be far less abrasive and I felt like they "opened the amp up" tonally in a way the original couldn't really do in the way I preferred. Either way, this library makes a great companion to my other Soldano-type amp captures for variation including the 6505, Jet City, V-Amp Modern Hi Gain and an upcoming 5150 III pack. While I offer my libraries for free, donations would be appreciated and will go towards expanding this library https://paypal.me/arlingtonaudio
