Description
These are 101 captures of a Peavey 6505 1992 Original head, their re-release of the 5150/6505. It has the same output transformer as the Invective and re-released 6505 II. They are Standard Models trained at 1000 Epochs. Settings are in filename as follows: Channel - Pedal - Pre-Gain - Bass - Mid - Treble - Post-Gain - Resonance - Presence Signal Chain: DIYRE L2A Reamp - 6505 - Suhr Reactive Load - Steinberg UR824 set at 11.5dBu The Rhythm Channel’s Pre-Gain was set between 5 and 8. The input comes in 4 flavors: straight in, or boosted by a Boss SD-1/BBE Green Screamer/MXR M94SE Fat Sugar. I picked 10 tone settings for the Lead Channel, and varied the Pre-Gain from 2 to 5. I then boosted with the Pre-Gain set back to 4 with a Boss SD-1. On both channels, I tried to vary the Resonance between 5 and 10. Presence was mostly left at 8, but I started to set it between 8-10 towards the end of my capturing. Post-Gains on both channels were left at 3. SD-1 settings: Volume-Max, Tone-12:00, Drive-Minimum BBE Green Screamer settings: Volume-Max, Tone-12:00, Gain-Minimum MXR M94SE Fat Sugar settings: Volume-11:00, Tone-1:00, Drive-11:00 I've used these models with my IRs of my cabs with Greenbacks, H75 Creamback, Vintage 30, and Classic Lead 80 that I've already uploaded to Tonehunt. But of course, the typical go-to IRs from the commercial IR vendors work even better.
