Peavey Backstage Plus

Description

This amp is very similar to the Peavey Decade and was made in the mid 1980's. The sound of these amps evokes QOTSA, Kyuss and similar desert rock bands, the key is running the amp into an IR to get the full value of the preamp instead of the poor speakers they came with. The Peavey Backstage Plus is a single channel amp with Pre Gain, Saturation and Post Gain (The Peavey Decade has 2 inputs normal and saturation). Three band EQ with pull bright on the Pre Gain and pull thick on the High knob, this gives many combinations of sound from clean to fuzzy distortion. The names of each capture contain the amps settings, no pedals were used so feel free to use a boost or overdrive up front. You will need your own IR as well.
